This battle that is raging
Deep within my soul
The sheer excitement it invokes in me
No one can ever know!

Their sweet innocent minds
Couldn't possibly comprehend
The extreme opposing forces
That will one day cause our end.

The end of known existence
Will be sweet eternal bliss
For those of us who are fortunate
And are written on that list.

The list that is kept a secret
Is contained in the 'Book of Life'
The souls that are saved by the blood-of-the-lamb
And those chosen to be the Brides of Christ

These are the many
That will praise God and sing
For they will ride to Heaven
On an Angels' wing!

I can only imagine myself
And how happy I will be
When on that glorious, happy day
My Angel comes for ME!

When she FINALLY call for me by name
I'll gladly pile atop her wing
And in the loudest voice I can
All will hear me sing!

Praise God! and thank-you Jesus!
You've returned for me at last!
This last life was quite a struggle
But the others? They were a blast!

I am so excited to be going home
Where I can sing your praise!
No more living in a world of sin
Where my mind is stuck in a daze!

For Jesus I have two questions...
Why, nailed to a tree?
I am so stubborn and do most things wrong,
Why did you die for ME?

To know you've found me worthy
Is impossible to understand
I know that I don't deserve to have
Such a wonderful friend.

So, this battle that is raging
Deep within my soul
Is because I am NOT worthy
This much I DO know!

But, I thank you for your mercy.
I know I've put it to the test!
I can NEVER thank you near enough
For sharing with me, Heavens' Eternal Rest!
